When you have more time to talk about games, than actually play them.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that most of the gaming world has waited on the release for years. The months of delays in the final year were especially painful. Now with the game released, everyone is feeling the pain of trying to get the right hardware to play it.
The game follows the exploits of the main character, V, on his or her way to becoming a legend of Night City in the year 2077. Cyberpunk 2077 gives you a lot of freedom as to whether you want to approach with stealth, hacking, guns blazing or brute force. The game offers so much choice.
Your choices begin with which life path you want to take. Nomad will start you out in the rural outskirts of the city. Street kid will start you out in the heart of the city. Corpo will start you out in the high rises of Night City.
Each path starts you with a completely different origin mission. After that, the Cyberpunk 2077 main missions available are very similar, but your conversation options revolve around your life choice. A corpo for example, can use their corporate knowledge to get other corporate type people on their side.
Conversations are a big part of the game and can vastly alter the outcome of missions. For example, a Cyberpunk 2077 Gig mission (basically a merc contract) may ask you to neutralize a cop investigating dirty cops. You can choose to kill them or talk them into stopping the investigation to save their life.
You have a very wide arsenal at your disposal. The wide variety of guns and melee weapons are there, but there is also Cyberware. That allows you to hack systems and people. It gives you a way to take enemies out with tech and sometimes without them knowing you were even there.
There is a good chance Cyberpunk 2077 will be the game of the year and possibly the game of the decade. It is that good, as long as you have the hardware to play the way it is meant to be played.
