Chasing Ghosts in VR with Phasmophobia

When you have more time to talk about games, than actually play them.
Demons have been an integral part of modern gaming since the days of the original Doom. Those evil spirits or devils tear at the very souls of their victims. The red skin with horns growing out of their head. Teeth razor sharp enough to cut through just about anything. The classic battle against evil will have you fighting them from the depths of hell.
Ever since the first days of Doom guy, we’ve been fighting those iconic demons from the gats of hell. The Diablo series followed up with RPG elements that had you fight them on your way to the devil.
On the lighter side, there was Saint Row: Gat out of Hell that takes a funny approach to fighting demons and the devil. The boss in the game gets dragged to hell by Lucifer in order to marry his daughter. A ridiculous rescue ensues.
The Devil May cry series has you fight as Dante. Your goal is to kill the Demon King. It’s an over the top game story of a spiritual world of part demons part angels, but the weird parts still make it one of the most beloved franchises.
More recent entries to the Doom series take on a hell on earth approach to gameplay. The detail of the evil creatures put the original to shame. Action is over the the top with violent dismemberment.
Phasmophobia has you investigating hauntings by ghosts, but sometimes you find they are actually demons. They will stalk you and kill you if you are not careful. A crucifix may be your only defense.
