People born in the 80's like me, have grown up during the golden age of gaming. It has been interesting to live through the launch of Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Playstation, Xbox, etc.. In the end, PC Gaming is what has kept me playing. Like most people of my generation, the free time for gaming has shrunk over the years between work and expanding families. It's hard to find time for games and the time flies by when you find the time. Despite the lack of time, sometimes I play games and find I can spend more time talking about them than play. I find myself sometimes acting like car a salesman for gaming by telling friends/coworkers about games I'm playing or new gaming tech coming out. Realizing just how much I talk about gaming, I decided to create this blog and maybe save those poor people from hearing so much about my gaming.

Starfield is Game of the Generation

Starfield game of the generation 3 astronauts with an ice mountain behind them

Since the last time I wrote about Starfield, a lot has happened in my game and in the streaming scene. Metacritic scores dropped about another point to 87 (for PC), but I’m now convinced Starfield is game of the generation. At the very least, it’s officially my favorite game of all time. It’s an anomaly, … Read moreStarfield is Game of the Generation

After realizing the Starfield Premium Edition was not only 5 days early access, but includes the future Shattered Space DLC, I pulled the trigger. The fact early release date was right before the long, holiday weekend sweetened the deal. After logging a healthy 21hrs in game, it’s clear it’s my Game of the Year and … Read moreStarfield is my Game of the Year

AC Odyssey Fate of Atlantis DLC Kassandra with Poseidon

After cruising through the Legacy of the First Blade DLC, I finished the last DLC in the over 100 hours in this journey. The AC Odyssey Fate of Atlantis DLC is the better of the two. Like the previous DLC, it has a 3 episode structure. Also like the first DLC, the first episode is … Read moreAC Odyssey Fate of Atlantis DLC

After finally wrapping up the main game, I finally pressed onto the AC Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade DLC. Although the DLC continues to explore the same map as the main game, I enjoyed the story of cyclical peace and revenge. The 3 episode split of the DLC was also an interesting way to … Read moreAC Odyssey Legacy of the First Blade DLC

AC Odyssey End of the Beginning

Assassin's Creed Odyssey End Viewing a Sea Battle

After 80 plus hours, I finally met the AC Odyssey end and watched the credits roll. It truly was an Odyssey of a game. There’s so many side missions behind me as I mentioned last time. Knocking those out really ensured the last part of the main game was action packed and story rich. As … Read moreAC Odyssey End of the Beginning

Baldur’s Gate 3 Resisting the Urge to Play

Baldur's Gate 3 title photo

I’m reaching the end of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey finally and the DLCs I plan right after. The big problem now is what comes after those DLCs? The big elephant in the room is a sure fire GOTY contender, Baldur’s Gate 3. Early impressions are that it’s polished and that it raises the bar for all … Read moreBaldur’s Gate 3 Resisting the Urge to Play
