Rocket League, Just One More Game
By far, the game I play most is Rocket League. It always starts off as …
When you have more time to talk about games, than actually play them.
There’s nothing that can enhance a game quite like a rockets. You can use them to fly through the air, or space, and you can use them as weapons. Most flight or space sims would be nothing without that boost. The classical definition is a missile, aircraft or space craft that uses thrust from ignited propellant to push it in a direction.
Rocket League would just be a cars with soccer without that turbo boost. Those cars need them to drive fast or even fly through the air. Those little engines push the cars to the limit and the game is more fun for it.
Just about every first person shooter has at least one weapon that shoots rockets. RPGs are the most popular with their explosive result. Nothing like launching grenades with a burst of fire.
Nothing booms better than Doom. That’s a game that loves it’s over the top action. You are almost required to shoot rockets and other ridiculously overpowered guns. Shooting one is not enough, this game demands you send a volley.
Modern flight sims give you so much control over rockets as you jet through the air in advanced fighting machines like the F-22 Raptor. Most fighter jets have at least one jet engine to allow all those insane high speed maneuvers.
Battle royal games double dip in rockets with jet packs and the RPGs. Boost up and over, then rain fire with rockets right back down to the ground. Boom up and boom down.
